The Best Way To Get Rid Of The Coronavirus? Not Medicine But Food!

The worldwide coronavirus chaos has made us all deathly afraid – “Will I be next?” Almost all of us have forgotten – What did Father of Medicine Dr Hippocrates say again about food and health 2481 BC (Before Computers)? “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food!”

I realize it only today that the worldwide worry about the coronavirus is man-made, arising from peoples’ ignorance or forgetting the truth about the body and disease. The US Library of Medicine says[3]:

Your immune system is a complex network of cells, tissues, and organs. Together they help the body fight infections and other diseases. When germs such as bacteria or viruses invade your body, they attack and multiply. This is called an infection. The infection causes the disease that makes you sick. Your immune system protects you from the disease by fighting off the germs.

The above sign contradicts itself: “Wash your hands” is not offense.

If we Filipinos have not woken to the fact that we ought to follow the millennial advice of Dr Hippocrates, other peoples have. From the United Kingdom, Katy Askew says (06 May 2020, “Organic Food's Coronavirus Boost: 'Health Crises Have A Long-Term Impact On Consumer Demand',[4] Foodnavigator.com):

A new report from Ecovia Intelligence suggests that organic sales have seen a “hefty sales increase” globally. Online retailers are reporting the highest sales growth. In the US, Whole Foods Market has started limiting the number of its online grocery customers because of unprecedented demand. Meanwhile in the UK, Abel & Cole reported a 25% increase in sales orders and Riverford, an organic farm and vegetable box delivery company, is reporting a demand surge. Nourish Organic, an Indian online retailer, experienced a 30% sales rise last month.

The whole world is waking up to organic food as the best medicine to the worst body enemies – except the Filipinos in the Philippine islands!?

Ms Katy says that online searches with “mentions of ‘immunity’ in the context of food searches rose 27% between February 2019 and March 2020.” And “Kombucha, pickled vegetables and bitter melon are examples of grocery items that have specifically seen an uptick in interest since the onset of the virus.”

Ms Katy quotes Amarjit Sahota founder and CEO of Ecovia Intelligence:

Whenever there is a food scare or health scare (like SARS), consumers look at disease prevention and improving nutrition. Organic foods get a sales boost as they are perceived to be healthier and safer than conventional foods. Organic foods avoid synthetic pesticides and agro-chemicals…

There you have it: “Organic foods avoid synthetic pesticides and agro-chemicals” that are harmful to the body.

Various studies also show that organic foods have more nutrients than conventional foods. Consumers therefore buy organic foods as they are considered safer and more nutritious than conventional foods.

The very least that you could do for your family’s health is soak your vegetables before you cook them!@517
